The two parties exchanged views on their respective resource advantages and future development plans in China and Denmark, and hoped to jointly promote the deep development of Nordic Innovation Center in the field of Sino-European science and technology exchange.

President Xie Jihua introduced the current major development opportunities for Shanghai in the new era, as well as the future international development strategy of the Eastern Center. The three new major tasks given to Shanghai by General Secretary Xi Jinping are major development opportunities for Shanghai, including the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, the establishment of the Science and Technology Board and the construction of the new Lingang area. Among them, the new Lingang District will be a major attraction for both domestic and foreign markets, and will become a global innovation collaboration base, a meeting point for both onshore and offshore markets, and a special economic function zone with more influence and competitiveness in the international market. On the basis of the integration and coordination of domestic and foreign resources by the International Channel Department, Shanghai International Technology Exchange Market (SITEM) has been established to provide an integrated two-wing layout, with office space in the new Lingang District and Hongqiao Business District to engage in international technology trade. We will assist Chinese enterprises to go global and international enterprises to set up business in China.

Mr. Tonny Thorup then pointed out that Denmark will set up the Danish New Energy Testing Center in Aalborg, and hoped that more Chinese companies can carry out R&D work in Aalborg, and that Aalborg will provide matching preferential policies to support the development of Chinese companies in Denmark. At the same time, he thanked and affirmed the support of the Eastern Center in the process of landing the "Relying on Blue World Methanol Fuel Cell Project" in China, which is the result of the joint efforts of both sides to promote the successful investment of Danish projects in China.

Given the existing resources and strategic planning, both sides agreed that it is the best time for both sides to deepen the cooperation in science, technology and innovation, and to establish a regular liaison mechanism to jointly promote in-depth science and technology exchanges between the Chinese and Danish markets through the Nordic Innovation Centre.

In December 2018, the Eastern Centre Nordic Innovation Centre was officially inaugurated in Aalborg, Denmark, as a starting point for both sides to establish higher-level cooperation and knowledge sharing in the field of science and innovation. In May 2019, Mr. Tonny Thorup focused on "Transnational Technology Transaction Models Discussion" at the Pura Innovation Forum Industry Forum 1: Global Technology Transfer Conference. "The theme of "How Chinese Enterprises Seek Development Overseas" was shared. The successful holding of this exchange meeting will further clarify the future direction of cooperation and development between the two sides and promote the landing of projects.
