On March 7, the 2019 "Entrepreneurship in Shanghai" International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Science and Technology Services Special Competition was the first to kick off this year's Special Competition event. Since it was first held in 2017, the competition has been held for three editions, with a total of more than 200 participating companies and teams.

Guided by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Science and Technology, organized by the Shanghai Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Center and hosted by the National Technology Transfer East Center, the competition aims to promote the innovation and development of technology intermediary service providers, sort out the brands of the technology service industry and create a number of future star organizations of technology intermediary services.

On the day of the competition, 52 participating enterprises gathered at the Eastern National Center for Technology Transfer to display their presence and create many highlight moments with their innovative wisdom. The competition included three major processes: "Project Roadshow + Problem Solving + On-site Defense", in which participating enterprises not only introduced their own projects, but also chose a patent result to be transformed from 50 patent questions, and the service direction covered technology search, value assessment, competitive intelligence analysis, result validation, and technology transfer. Result maturation, technology trading, technology strategic planning, inspection and testing, etc., the participating enterprises choose one of the most competitive service categories to present their service plans.

 

During the one-day on-site roadshow, the participating enterprises were divided into morning and afternoon sessions. In order to provide better competition environment for the participating enterprises, the Eastern National Technology Transfer Center specially arranged three meeting rooms and a waiting room for the special competition. In order to fully demonstrate their service capabilities and service solutions in the arena, some of the participating enterprises even brought their most creative technology achievement transformation models for live demonstration. The expert judges scored their scores in five dimensions: project technology evaluation, project product technology evaluation, project feasibility evaluation, project economic evaluation and service capability evaluation, and the scene was interactive and lively. The S&T service industry competition aimed to select a number of outstanding S&T intermediary service agencies and S&T enterprises with some service attributes active in Shanghai, and to accelerate their growth through social capital and financial funds, so as to create a better ecological environment for S&T services in Shanghai.

Afterwards, successful projects will receive a 100,000 RMB fixed grant from Shanghai's 2019 "Science and Technology Innovation Action Plan" technology-based SME Technology Innovation Funding Program, and will be given priority to register as a service provider of Shanghai International Technology Mall, free access to the Shanghai Science and Technology Achievement Transfer Public Service Platform results library, and priority to register as a member of Shanghai International Technology Mall. Enjoy the prize money, platform, database, project recommendation and workshop support such as international and domestic channel project recommendation and free space of National Technology Transfer Eastern Center. In addition, Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Voucher Platform will also actively introduce the participating companies to promote the innovative development of technology intermediary service providers, to sort out the brands of the technology service industry and to create a number of future star technology intermediary service providers.
