According to the arrangement of the State Council on the East-West cooperation and development of Shanghai-Zunyi, in order to implement the Shanghai-Zunyi science and technology cooperation, Zhang Quan, director of Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, led a delegation to visit Zunyi and attend the opening ceremony of the Shanghai-Zunyi Science and Technology Cooperation Demonstration Point, on October 14-15, at the rate of Zhang Quan, director of Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, as well as leaders from relevant departments of Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Eastern National Technology Transfer Center.

Afterwards, the opening ceremony of the Shanghai-Zunyi Science and Technology Cooperation Demonstration Site was held as scheduled. Mr. Liu Yongfu, Director of Science and Technology Bureau of Zunyi City presided over the ceremony, Mr. Lu Chengjun, Vice Mayor of Zunyi City and Mr. Zhang Quan, Director of Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission delivered speeches respectively. Tan Qi, Vice President of the Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Li Zhongxing, Member of the Standing Committee of Zunyi Municipal Party Committee and Deputy Mayor of Zunyi Municipal People's Government, Zhu Xiaolin, Deputy Secretary General of Zunyi Municipal People's Government, and Liu Jianguo, President of Zunyi Medical College, attended the ceremony. Yan Mingfeng, CEO of the National Technology Transfer Eastern Center, and Chen Zhiyu, Director of Zunyi Software Park Management Committee, unveiled the "Zunyi Branch Center of the National Technology Transfer Eastern Center".

Deputy Mayor Lu Chengjun welcomed the delegation from Shanghai and affirmed the achievements made by the Shanghai-Zunzun Science and Technology Cooperation in recent years in platform construction, talent training, technological innovation and other aspects. He pointed out that Zunyi is now in the critical period of building a central city in the combination of Guizhou, Sichuan and Chongqing. In the next step, Zunyi will strengthen the scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation with Shanghai, improve the cooperation mechanism, deepen the joint construction of the Shanghai-Zunzun science and technology platform, strengthen the interface between industry, academia and research, promote the collaboration between Shanghai and Zunzun in science and technology innovation to a deeper level, and promote Zunyi's scientific and technological innovation work to a new level.

Zhang Quan, Director of Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission (SSTC), affirmed the collaborative innovation work between Shanghai and Zunyi, and said that SSTC will actively respond to the call of the State Council for East-West collaboration and development, and intensify cooperation in promoting the exchange and interaction of innovation elements, innovation resources and scientific and technological forces between the two places, as well as the transfer and transformation of technological achievements, so as to help Zunyi's innovative development and collaborative progress.

At the ceremony, the "Shanghai-Zun Joint Biomedical Collaborative Innovation Center", jointly established by the Shanghai Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SIAS) and Zunyi Medical College, the "Shanghai-Zun Collaborative Science and Technology Rural Revitalization Practice Base", jointly established by Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Zunyi Enterprises, and the "Shanghai-Zun Collaborative Science and Technology Rural Revitalization Practice Base", respectively, were unveiled. The opening ceremony was witnessed by the leaders and guests of the "Shanghai-Zunyi Collaborative Innovation Center for Clinical Medicine" and the "Zunyi Branch Center of the National Eastern Technology Transfer Center" established by Shanghai Municipality.

The Eastern National Technology Transfer Center, Zunyi Science and Technology Bureau, Zunyi Software Park (National Science and Technology Enterprise Incubator), and Zunyi Productivity Center (National Productivity Center) jointly established the "Zunyi Sub-center of the Eastern National Technology Transfer Center" as the "Shanghai-Zunyi Sub-center". "A bridge for scientific and technological exchanges between the two regions to promote the cause of technology transfer in the region.
