Three provinces and one city in the Yangtze River Delta jointly released 500 corporate innovation needs to the world.
At a press conference on September 26, co-hosted by the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the science and technology departments of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces, 500 selected enterprise needs were open for global solicitation of solutions.
Among them, 130 were from the Shanghai region, 100 from the Zhejiang region, 125 from the Jiangsu region and 145 from the Anhui region. These demands involve a variety of fields such as electronics and information, biomedicine, advanced manufacturing and automation, and many companies have put forward their own demands for the trendy artificial intelligence and other fields.
For example, a ready-made, ready-to-sell smart breakfast machine, which has applied for a patent and is in the machine development stage, needs corresponding software development support. Another company is developing "intelligent guide dog", has basically completed the development path and technical solutions, and now needs and has no driver core technology research and development team docking. They have all joined in this collective "reward".
This joint release of corporate innovation needs in three provinces and one city was combined with the China Innovation Challenge. The third China Innovation Challenge (Shanghai) was held in 2018 at the same time as the first ever Yangtze River Delta International Innovation Challenge.
The China Innovation Challenge has been held annually since 2016, under the guidance of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and is an innovation crowdsourcing service activity that openly collects solutions for specific technological innovation needs through a "competition".
Zhang Satellite, Party Secretary of the Torch Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology, said the event, which is entering its third year, needs to be better integrated with local innovation, and he highly appreciated the exploration of the Yangtze River Delta and said he would do a good job in providing relevant services.
In the three provinces and one city, the past few months have been mainly a period of demand collection. For example, since the launch of the competition in April, Shanghai has mobilized all districts, industrial zones, parks and incubators to explore the innovation needs of enterprises, and has organized eight "Innovation Challenge Training Sessions", which were attended by nearly 300 organizations and 400 people.
In addition to the integration of the Yangtze River Delta, internationalization is another keyword of the event.
The Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission introduced that it has shared nearly 30 international technology transfer channels and international creative spaces currently deployed in Shanghai with the Yangtze River Delta as a link to dock and match overseas technology resources and attract overseas quality results to the Yangtze River Delta.
At the conference, the science and technology authorities of three provinces and one city introduced their policies in addition to the demand release, including cash rewards for the winning challengers and policy support for the transfer of scientific and technological achievements.
It is worth mentioning that with this event as an opportunity, the science and technology departments of three provinces and one city in the Yangtze River Delta are also exploring further collaboration.
According to the release, three provinces and one city will explore the synergy of four technology markets: the Shanghai International Technology Exchange Market, the Zhejiang Science and Technology Market, the Jiangsu Technology Property Rights Exchange Market, and the Anhui Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Service Center.
In Kunshan, Jiangsu Province, and Deqing, Zhejiang Province, a common exchange mechanism for technology innovation vouchers in the area of technology transfer services in the Yangtze River Delta will also be explored, accumulating valuable practical experience for the open sharing of resources in science and technology innovation and transformation services in the Yangtze River Delta, the integration of technology transfer services, policy coordination and transaction standardization.
Luo Dajin, deputy director of the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, said, "The next step is to enter the demand docking stage, in order to match the demand with the source channels and industry attributes, and in November, each province and city will carry out on-site competitions according to their own characteristics.
