In order to implement the spirit of the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Transformation of Science and Technology Achievements, the National Technology Transfer System Construction Program, the Shanghai Regulations on Promoting the Transformation of Science and Technology Achievements, and the Shanghai Action Plan for Promoting the Transfer of Science and Technology Achievements (2017-2020), the Shanghai Technology Transfer Academy was established under the guidance and support of the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission. The Academy aims to cultivate high-level, international and professional talents in the field of technology transfer, and it builds and forms a core team of talents for promoting the transfer of technological achievements by building a bridge for staff exchange and resource aggregation between universities and institutes, internationally renowned institutions and various enterprises, and solving the realistic bottlenecks in every aspect of technology transfer. The first series of training courses include "academic education", "base practical training" and "competency certification". The series of training courses will be released to the public in the near future.
In order to develop and improve the thinking and ability of technology transfer practitioners, Shanghai Technology Transfer Institute has set up a series of training courses on "Competency Certification" - Certified Licensing Professionals (CLP) training. Experts in transfer practice will give lectures in modules on key points such as commercial value assessment of innovation results, intellectual property management and domestic and international transfer. The relevant training matters are notified as follows:
I. Target group for training
Personnel engaged in technology transfer, technology incubation, project management, science and technology investment, intellectual property rights, etc. in technology transfer agencies, university research institutes, intellectual property rights operating agencies, science and technology enterprises and innovation platforms.
In principle, at least one person should be arranged to attend the training at the 2017 Shanghai Science and Technology Achievement Transfer Service System Demonstration Facility, depending on the actual situation.

This course is taught by The Licensing Executives Society US & Canada (LES US & Canada) and Shanghai Shengzhihua IP Services (the top international technology transfer experts and international university technology transfer offices). 4Training certificate
A. Participants receive a certificate of completion of the Shanghai Institute of Technology Transfer International Certified Technology Licensing Expert Training Course after attending the course and meeting the completion criteria.
B. At the end of this course training, participants will be organized to voluntarily take the CLP online exam, which will be conducted in a full English indefinite choice format. (Note: LES/CLP requires at least 3 years of experience in the field of technology transfer to sit for the CLP exam.) Participants will receive the CLP International Certification Certificate upon passing the exam.The optional dates for the 2018 exam are October 1-31, and the exam registration fee is $$1,000.
5Policy support
Students complete all modules and receive a certificate of completion, as well as a certificate of CLP International certification, which is subsidized according to the relevant documents.
