National Technology Transfer Eastern Center (Toronto) inaugurated in Canada

On May 16, local time in Toronto, the 2017 Pujiang Innovation Forum-Canada was held at the Toronto Convention Centre, with the signing and opening of the Canadian (Toronto) branch of the National Center for Technology Transfer East (NCTT). The forum was hosted by the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, and the Department of Research, Innovation and Technology of Ontario, Canada, with the support of the Consulate General of China in Toronto, and co-organized by the National Technology Transfer Eastern Center, the clean technology sub-platform of the National Technology Transfer Eastern Center, Yumo Consulting, Fudan University, and the China-Canada Investment Promotion Center.

The Pujiang Innovation Forum, co-organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Shanghai Municipal Government, has been successfully held for nine years. This year, the tenth Pujiang Innovation Forum will be held in Shanghai on September 23-24. In order to further enhance the international influence of the forum, this year's Pujiang Innovation Forum will be held in Toronto for the first time in North America. The theme of the forum is "Building a Clean Technology Transfer Eco-Chain", which aims to promote the transfer of clean technology between China and Canada and help Shanghai build a globally influential science and technology center.

The inauguration of the Canada (Toronto) branch of the National Technology Transfer Eastern Center will become an important platform for building the technology transfer ecosystem chain between the two countries. According to the agreement, NTME and CIPC will actively dovetail with the policies and financial support of the two countries on overseas technology transfer and park construction, support the introduction of advanced technology and innovative projects from Canada to Shanghai, and assist Chinese high-tech enterprises in exploring the Canadian market and providing a "soft landing" for science and technology projects of both countries. "The two sides will provide a series of services such as preliminary research, investment and financing, and project incubation. The two sides will also jointly launch the China-Canada Innovation and Technology Transfer Investment Fund, which will be used mainly for cross-border incubation projects and technology transfer.

The Blue Book "China's Environmental Industry Enterprise Development Status", jointly produced by the Eastern National Technology Transfer Center and its clean technology sub-platform "Yumo Consulting", was released in both Chinese and English, providing a professional and comprehensive research report for enterprises, scientific research institutions and investment institutions in both countries.
