The 3rd International Cleantech Transfer and Investment & Financing Summit was successfully held.

The 3rd International Clean Technology Transfer and Investment Financing Summit (CleanConnect 2016), organized by the National Technology Transfer Eastern Center and Umore Cleantech Consulting, was successfully held on November 7-8, 2016 at the beautiful Hangzhou Xizi Lake. Mr. Zou Shujun, Vice President of National Technology Transfer Eastern Center, was invited to attend the summit as the keynote speaker.

The global cleantech event attracted more than 200 guests from 17 countries, a total of 77 Chinese cleantech companies, 35 global investment institutions and angel investors, 14 Chinese listed companies, 19 municipal and industrial end-users, 40 overseas technology companies and research institutions and 14 overseas government organizations.

 

Dr. Xu Rong, founder and president of Rimage, welcomed the partners with a keynote speech on "Connecting the World with Technology", reaffirming Rimage's commitment to helping overseas technology penetrate into China and Chinese companies go global through clean technology transfer. In his opening speech, he said: "Connecting technology, connecting markets, connecting capital, connecting cleantech elites, this is the mission of cleantech." Nicholas Parker, founder of Cleantech Group, said that China is becoming the global center of clean technology and that no other country has ever "faced so many problems at once and made such great leaps forward".

The two-day summit also included three sub-forums on industrial environmental services, regional environmental governance, and smart and sustainable solutions. In each sub-forum, overseas companies from different environmental segments were invited to conduct technical roadshows to showcase the most advanced clean technology in water treatment, solid waste treatment and resource utilization, soil and water remediation, environmental monitoring, energy saving, energy storage and data management technology to investment institutions and domestic municipal industrial users. It is worth mentioning that the organizing committee of the summit arranged one-to-one business matching session for each enterprise and corresponding investment institution, and more than 200 sets of precise matching between Chinese and foreign enterprises and investment institutions were reached in the end.

 

The summit also announced the launch of the second edition of the Sino-Finnish International Cleantech Executive Class, in which a number of national and international business leaders will participate in a summer course specially tailored for the community by Aalto University, Europe's oldest business school.

The third summit in 2016 is a milestone in the international clean technology transfer cooperation, focusing more on the current hot environmental protection niche, more end-users appear, bringing the needs of various industrial systems and municipal management of practical environmental issues, the National Technology Transfer Eastern Center, together with YuMo Platform and YuMo Think Tank will take this summit as an opportunity to build a large platform in the field of clean technology, opening China's A new chapter in clean technology development.
