On September 13, the finals of the 2016 Shanghai First International Hacker Competition, guided by the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, hosted by the Shanghai Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Center and the National Technology Transfer East Center, and co-hosted by the Shanghai Bay Valley Innovation Center (BVIC) and TechNode, opened in grand style at the National Technology Transfer East Center. Zou Shujun, Executive Vice President of the National Technology Transfer East Center, attended the event as a judge for the final round.

The competition aims to use modern science and technology to make life intelligent and to integrate electronic technology into daily work, life, learning and entertainment. Let technology change life and create a better future. The fields involved include smart hardware, smart home, advanced equipment, robotics, medicine and Internet of Things.

The Shanghai International Hacker Competition, which started in June, lasted for three months, and through four sub-competitions in online and offline areas, involving many countries and cities such as UK, Singapore and Shanghai, and joined by many enterprises and organizations, the 200+ projects recruited for the competition were screened one after another, and the nine quality projects that finally made it to the finals appeared collectively in the finals and were selected by a panel of judges.

Mr. Zhu Zhenghong, Director of the Shanghai Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Center, emphasized in his speech that he hoped to implant the spirit of individual innovation in the public through activities like the Hacker Competition, and continuously stimulate the innovation vitality of individuals. The extraordinary significance of this event is that the outstanding international and domestic teams will participate in the exchange competition and discuss the innovative model on this platform with the most cutting-edge and creative technology projects as the starting point, which will trigger more international cooperation opportunities.

The nine finalists, covering four main areas of healthcare, VR, 3D printing and robotics, include: AnemiPoint by EVA DX (UK), a home device for personal health monitoring that integrates software applications, data collection and management, and AiTreat (Singapore), a medical product for massage therapy and an artificial intelligence-led device for personal health monitoring. Helper, an accessible input device that helps people with behavioral difficulties use computers smoothly, and Magikare, a complete rehabilitative medical system that includes human posture sensors, signal processing algorithms, rehabilitation analysis, and remote communication. Cloud Listening, an intelligent stethoscope specifically designed for the children's market segment. Polaris VR, which provides IMRS immersive mixed reality spatial solutions, incorporating VR/AR to artificially add HUD and motion capture technology to the screen to artificially increase the sense of focus and manipulation.Rover Robot, a team specializing in the development of entertainment service robots, with the core Rover C5 control system using the Doppler effect as the basis for the algorithm Indoor navigation technology and Rover shock absorption technology with the mosquito swarm algorithm at its core.Hesion Neobox, a highly artistic design coupled with industrial-grade precision and a 3D printer with a 1.6 GHz quad-core stable processor. The awkward pen's Sugarman 1, which fits all models of mainstream tablets, is made of conductive cloth, and its use on the screen has been able to partially simulate the damping feel of a neutral pen.

Zou Shujun, Executive Vice President of the National Technology Transfer Eastern Center, Frank Xu, COO of Dynamic Point, Zhang Hongxiang, Head of Digital Business Development of Unilever China, Li Haoyang, Founder and CEO of Friends Impression, and Yu Lifeng, Partner of Jiyuan Capital, judged the results based on five criteria: innovation, business prospect, sustainable development, fragmentation and product design.Nine projects were scored. Hesion, AiTreat, EVA DX won the "Brainstorming Award", which includes a cash prize of 50,000 RMB + a technology media package, "Best Product/Application Design Award", "Most Business Value Award", with the remaining six finalist team projects receiving the winning awards.
