In order to deepen the implementation of Guangdong Province's intellectual property rights work and continuously strengthen the ties and communication between Shanghai and Guangdong Province's technology transfer and transaction, Xie Hong, Deputy Director of Guangdong Intellectual Property Office, accompanied by Zhang Yongzhong, Director of Patent Management Division of Shanghai Intellectual Property Office and Tong Weiping, Deputy Director of Yangpu District Intellectual Property Office, visited the National Technology Transfer East Center on the morning of August 9. The delegation was warmly received by Zou Shujun, Executive Vice President of the Center, and Lu Jijun, General Manager of Shanghai National University Technology Market.
The delegation visited the G0 Creative Space and the Activity Transaction Exhibition Hall on the second floor of the East Center, and listened to Mr. Zou's planning for the construction of the service platform and technology exchange system of the East Center, and built up the entire technology transfer results transformation chain of the East Center through cooperation channels, physical carriers, talent teams and resource platforms. At the symposium, Mr. Zou reported to the delegation of Guangdong Province on the attempts made by the East Center in technology transfer and transformation, as well as the future direction and restructuring of the technology exchange. Mr. Lu talked about the policy support of Shanghai for the transformation of university results and the current cooperation projects and ideas between the East Center and universities from the perspective of university-industry-university-research. Xie Hong, Deputy Director of Guangdong Provincial Intellectual Property Office, said that the government support for "grassroots innovation" at the enterprise level in Guangdong Province is strong and effective, but the chronic problem of universities is constrained by legal and other institutional bottlenecks, which makes it difficult to play a greater role and effect. As the source of achievements and inventions, it is particularly important to accurately match the university achievements with the needs of enterprises. She hoped that Guangdong Province could make use of the East Center as a global platform to carry out more cooperation in some emerging industries such as new materials, manufacturing, biomedicine, etc., and bring together cross-regional resources on the platform in an advantageous and integrated manner, so as to lay a solid foundation for China's industrial structure transformation and technological innovation development. Afterwards, the delegation exchanged views with the relevant subordinate organizations of the IP Office, local state-owned and private enterprises of IPR. They agreed with the concept of capitalization and marketization of technology transfer proposed by the East Center, and expressed that there would be more opportunities and possibilities of cooperation with the East Center in the future.
