2016 Pujiang Innovation Forum lands at London Tech Week, Europe's largest tech event!

 On 22 June 2016, the UK branch of the 2016 Pujiang Innovation Forum was held at Gibson Hall, London. Xu Guanhua, Chairman of the Pujiang Innovation Forum and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, sent a congratulatory letter, while Frazer, Director General of the International Department of the UK Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, Jiang Sunan, Minister Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in the UK, and Yin Gaode, President of the London Development Promotion Agency, attended and delivered speeches. The forum was attended by representatives from Chinese and British government departments, finance and investment sectors, universities and research institutes, technology companies and innovation service providers.
  
  The forum was organized by the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Department of International Knowledge and Innovation in Asia and the Pacific of the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills, Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Science and Technology Department of Zhejiang Province, London Development Authority, Chinese Embassy in the UK, UK Science and Innovation Alliance, UK-China Trade Association, Shanghai Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Centre, National Technology Transfer East Centre, Cocoon Networks, All UK The Robotics Society, as well as Pin Play and Liberation Daily are co-organizers.
  
  With the success of President Xi's visit to the UK last year, China-UK relations are now entering a "golden decade" and a golden era of science, technology and innovation between the two countries has begun. The UK is not only one of the most efficient countries in the world in terms of innovation, but also has a high international status in the financial sector, and London is one of the five major innovation centres in the world. This year, for the first time, the Pujiang Innovation Forum was held in the host country, with a sub-forum organized during London Science and Technology Week. With the theme of "Building Technology Transfer Ecological Chain", the forum focused on robotics and international technology transfer, shared the achievements made by China and the UK in science and technology innovation, entrepreneurship and scientific research, and explored the huge potential of Sino-British cooperation in science and technology.
  
  In the Capital Matching session of the AI project, many robotics projects from China and the UK were shared and matched, such as the latest research results of "Vascular Interventional Surgery Robot" and "Micro Manipulation" by Professor Yang Guangzhong, Professor of Imperial College of Science and Technology and Academician of the Royal Academy of Engineering. Surgical Robot", "Conductor", a Chinese company with a patent for world-leading "dynamic 3D motion based on joint spatial position data", and "Mobile Vision Computing", a Chinese company specializing in mobile vision computing, were also launched. "Ximmerse". While commenting on the project, well-known investors also shared their thoughts on the Chinese and British capital markets and the internationalization of technology companies.
  
  At the Sino-British Technology Transfer Forum, Ms. Lin Xin, representative of the Executive Director of the China Academy of Science and Technology Development Strategy, and Zhang Yiwen, Deputy Director General of the Science and Technology Department of Zhejiang Province, delivered a speech; Huawei Technologies UK R&D Centre shared the progress of the graphene project jointly developed by Huawei and the University of Manchester; and Oxford ISIS Science and Technology Innovation, whose many innovative companies are listed on the London Stock Exchange, delivered a speech. Ltd, as one of the oldest, largest and earliest international IP agencies in China, shared ideas in the field of international technology transfer and patent protection; the Antai School of Management of Shanghai Jiao Tong University also released a comparative study of the innovation ecology in London and Shanghai. "London Shanghai Science and Technology Centre Dialogue".
  
  The Shanghai Innovation Centre (London) and the Shanghai Technology Exchange (London) were unveiled during the UK part of the Pujiang Innovation Forum. The two centres will be housed in Cocoon Networks' European Technology and Innovation Centre building in London's Tech City. Cocoon Networks is the first Chinese-funded integrated technology and innovation platform in Europe focusing on cross-border incubators, accelerators, equity investments and technology transfer between China and Europe, and has the largest footprint of any urban innovation center in Europe at 70,000 square feet. All tenants are carefully screened to ensure a high quality operating environment. The establishment of Shanghai Innovation Center (London) and Shanghai Technology Exchange (London) will enable the exchange of cutting-edge ideas, technology and capital through a combination of "going out" and "coming in", greatly enhancing the exchange of capital and excellent research achievements between China and the UK. The docking and transformation is a solid step forward for Shanghai to accelerate the establishment of a science and technology innovation center with global influence.
