On April 21, the 4th China (Shanghai) International Fair for Import and Export of Technology ("Shanghai Fair") kicked off at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center. The China (Shanghai) International Fair for Import and Export of Technology (hereinafter referred to as "Shanghai Fair", or CSITF for short), is a national and international professional exhibition approved by the State Council and co-sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the State Intellectual Property Office and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, which is dedicated to technology trade. It has been successfully held for three sessions. This year, with the core concept of "technology, make life better" and the theme of "innovation-driven development, protection of intellectual property rights, and promotion of technology trade", the fair has set up five exhibition areas, namely, guest country, professional technology, scientific and technological innovation, innovation for all and trade services. Showcasing the scientific and technological innovations of nearly 1,000 enterprises from 23 countries and regions, the three-day event is expected to attract 50,000 visitors.

As a leader in the field of technology innovation demonstration, the Eastern National Technology Transfer Center, after its debut in the Technology Innovation Zone of the Shanghai Fair last year, received a good response.

At 8:30 a.m., Mr. Wan Gang, Vice Chairman of CPPCC National Committee, Minister of Science and Technology, Deputy Secretary of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, Mayor Yang Xiong and their entourage came to visit the exhibition area of the Eastern Center at the Shanghai Fair. Mr. Xie introduced the business achievements of the Eastern Center in the past year and the future strategic deployment plan to Minister Wan Gang and Mayor Yang Xiong, and expressed the confidence and determination of the Eastern Center in accelerating the innovation-driven strategy. After listening carefully to the report, Mr. Wan Gang fully affirmed the importance of the East Center in the innovation development strategy.

In the exhibition area themed "Bringing Together Global Resources for Science, Technology and Innovation", the National Center for Technology Transfer East (NCTE) focused on its achievements over the past year and future plans in various ways. The National Center for Technology Transfer East is a regional technology transfer platform jointly promoted by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, and was officially set up in Shanghai's Yangpu Valley on April 23, 2015. By integrating the three main subjects of science and technology, service and industry, it brings together seven objects including scientific research units, advantaged enterprises, government departments, technology intermediaries, incubation and acceleration organizations, investment institutions and technology media, forming a technology transfer ecosystem with centralized trading as the core and integrating the three functions of basic services, professional technology services and capital services. It is positioned as a fourth-party platform that integrates resources such as technology provision, technology demand, technology transfer brokers and other value-added service providers, establishes rules and process guidance in the technology transfer market, and provides business demonstrations in the technology transfer innovation business.

Over the past year, through the global layout, promoting the flow of technology transfer elements and leveraging Shanghai's geographical advantages, a spatial pattern has been formed, with Shanghai as the core, radiating the Yangtze River Delta development belt, covering the Silk Road Economic Belt and South Asia region and the whole world. In addition, it promotes the convergence of technology transfer elements through model innovation, the operation of technology transfer and transformation through market-oriented mechanisms, the transformation and upgrading of enterprises through open innovation, the transformation of scientific and technological achievements through an operating platform for the transformation of achievements, and the transformation of achievements through the integration of scientific and technological capital. A "multi-level" technology transfer and transformation system has been formed initially.

The six functional modules in the exhibition area fully demonstrate that the Eastern Center integrates the functions of technology transaction, incubation guidance, science and technology finance and international docking, forming a demonstration zone of science and technology innovation with rich science and education resources, strong industrial base and perfect technology transfer mechanism. The eight exhibits - "Rujing Robotic Arm", "Micro Energy Harvesting System", "Micro Flow Reactor", and "Micro Flow Reactor" - will be displayed at the exhibition. "Agruru Beer Brewing Machine", "Tivato Smart Coffee Machine", "Kaji 3D Printer", "Kuan Sheng Yuan Sky Farm". The "Stream Rail Unmanned Driving" and "Stream Rail Unmanned Driving" are all irresistible innovations that are closely connected with daily life and attract the audience with their irresistible power. A series of innovative measures, such as technology innovation vouchers, G0 workbench, technology verification lab platform, talent training base, etc., were hotly welcomed by all parties concerned, especially technology enterprises, at the fair.

On the opening day of the "Innovation Series Conference", the National Technology Transfer East Center announced the release of the first batch of "Technology Innovation Vouchers" with a total value of 28 million RMB, which will be used to support the purchase of technology intermediary services by Shanghai's technology enterprises. All eligible technology enterprises can apply and use the vouchers to purchase services such as technology transfer and technology consulting from eligible service providers, which has attracted widespread attention from technology enterprises and technology service providers.

The Shanghai Technology Exchange (STE), as an important gateway to technology transfer, also made a high-profile appearance at the exhibition. Established in December 1993, the Shanghai Technology Exchange is the first national-level permanent technology market jointly established by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, and is a national-level technology transfer demonstration institution. Since its establishment, the Shanghai Technology Exchange has made positive contributions to the technology transfer and transformation of Shanghai and even the whole country, and has become an important trading platform and carrier for the transfer and transformation of international and domestic technological achievements.

During the three-day exhibition, the Eastern National Center for Technology Transfer will also present "OPEN INNOVATION Open Day", "Tumor Immunotherapy - Trends and Future of the Industry", and "Tumor Immunotherapy". "For this purpose, a forum area with a capacity of nearly 40 people and a number of independent communication areas have been set up within the Eastern Center exhibition area to facilitate communication between exhibitors and visitors.
