China and Malaysia's first national technology transfer platform officially launched

On 28 October 2015, China's National Technology Transfer East Centre was invited by the Malaysian Innovation Agency to participate in the Innovating Malaysia Conference 2015 (IMC). During the forum, YB Dato's Mah Siew Keong, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, witnessed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) exchange ceremony between PlatCOM Venture Malaysia and China's National Technology Transfer Eastern Centre (NTTEC), which formally opened a new chapter in China's National Belt and Road framework through the PlaTCOM Venture is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Agensi Inovasi Malaysia (AIM) and SME Corp. of Malaysia, which is a national technology industrialization company in Malaysia. Platform, PlaTCOM helps SMEs accelerate technology research and development, develop market-driven products and industrialize intellectual property. The signing of the cooperation agreement between China's National Technology Transfer Eastern Centre and PlaTCOM Venture will provide strong support for the development of Malaysian technology projects in China and the development of Chinese technology-based enterprises in the Malaysian market.

The signing of this MOU is the first time that a Malaysian national technology industrialization platform has established relevant cooperation with a Chinese institution, providing a platform to secure technology transfer at the highest level for the Maritime Silk Road. In this event, the National Technology Transfer East Centre Singapore Branch came into contact with a series of PlaTCOM-invested quality projects, such as hydrogen cleaning and online testing technology for car engines and fast permeable asphalt (hot asphalt and cold asphalt bi-directional) technology for sponge cities, which will be gradually introduced into the country in the future to inject new technological vitality into the Chinese market.
