Yunnan Branch Center of Eastern National Technology Transfer Center was inaugurated-Technology into Yunnan to help promote regional technology transformation and upgrading

The newspaper recently reported that the 2015 Shanghai-Dian Science and Technology Achievement Docking and Exchange Activity in Dali, Yunnan Province kicked off, and the Yunnan Branch of the Eastern Center for National Technology Transfer was officially inaugurated at the Shanghai-Dian Science and Technology Exchange.

The Yunnan Branch Center of the National Technology Transfer Eastern Center is a public innovation service platform jointly built by the Yunnan Provincial Department of Science and Technology and the National Technology Transfer Eastern Center. The sub-center will select some industries and establish science and technology pilot projects in areas with obvious industrial characteristics and advantages, such as the New Dianzhong Industrial Zone, the Kunming High-Tech Development Zone, the Kunming Economic and Technological Development Zone, and the Yuxi National High-Tech Development Zone, so as to help promote regional industrial technology transformation and upgrading through cooperation in technology transfer.

As early as 1995, Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission and Yunnan Provincial Department of Science and Technology signed the "Letter of Intent on Bilateral Science and Technology Cooperation", thus starting the Shanghai-Denver counterpart assistance and science and technology cooperation work, and in 2013, the science and technology departments of the two places signed a new five-year framework agreement on science and technology cooperation to strengthen the construction of science and technology cooperation and exchange platform between the two places. The two sides have promoted in-depth cooperation through various forms, with increasingly close ties, broadening of fields and remarkable results of cooperation. Over the years, the two sides have jointly supported more than 300 scientific and technological cooperation projects to protect people's livelihoods and promote development.

The Shanghai Science and Technology Commission (SSTC) organized 28 research institutes and enterprises in the fields of modern agriculture, food processing, energy conservation and environmental protection, biomedicine and information technology, taking into account the unique resources and geographical advantages of Yunnan and the actual needs of Yunnan as the main line of communication. On the basis of preliminary in-depth pre-docking, Shanghai and Yunnan signed a total of 31 cooperation agreements at the conference, with the intention to sign about 1.045 billion yuan.

The establishment of the Eastern National Technology Transfer Center in Yunnan makes full use of the two cooperation mechanisms of Shanghai-Dunyan cooperation and technology transfer into Yunnan to promote knowledge flow and technology transfer between Shanghai and Yunnan. In the future, both sides plan to increase financial docking efforts, mutual exchanges and training, and jointly build a technology transfer information docking platform, radiation driven by some of the characteristics of the two regions, the cooperation of characteristic industries, and strive to explore a new model of East-West docking and regional cooperation.

It is reported that since its establishment in Yangpu, the Eastern National Technology Transfer Center has been committed to gathering and trading top technologies at home and abroad, promoting the clustering of high-tech industries, and building a global hub system for science and technology innovation. At present, the Eastern Center is taking the two national outward-oriented open platforms of "China-South Asia Technology Transfer Center" and "China-ASEAN Innovation Center" as an opportunity, relying on the "China-South Asia Technology Transfer Center" and "China-ASEAN Innovation Center" as the two national outward-oriented open platforms. The "One Belt, One Road" strategy continues to deepen cooperation with ASEAN and South Asian countries in "importing in and going out", and the establishment of science and technology innovation centres for South and South-East Asian countries. At this stage, China-South Asia Science and Technology Partnership Program, China-Pakistan, China-Bengal and China-Nepal three technology transfer sub-center cooperation agreements have been successfully signed, collaboration network is becoming more and more perfect.
