In order to further implement the innovation-driven strategy, effectively dovetail the functions of regional national technology transfer centers, improve the construction of innovation support system, and promote the adjustment and upgrading of industrial structure, on September 23, 2015, Li Xun, Deputy Director of the Xiangyang Branch of the Central National Technology Transfer Center - Xiangyang Bureau of Science and Technology, and his delegation visited the Eastern National Technology Transfer Center, research and study and exchange talks.

During the discussion, the East Center and Xiangyang Bureau of Science and Technology introduced their respective S&T work overviews. The staff of the East Center briefly explained the operation and management mechanism and effectiveness of the East Center in promoting technological innovation and serving the technology industry in recent years. Afterwards, the two sides had an in-depth exchange and discussion on the development of high-tech industry, construction of technological innovation platform, policy support for technology transfer, construction and management of financial platform, development of new energy automobile industry and introduction plan of scientific and technological talents.

Xiangyang is a national pilot city for innovation, an experimental zone for sustainable development and a national demonstration city for scientific and technological progress. The construction of the Xiangyang branch of the Central National Technology Transfer Center has further promoted the transformation and upgrading of Xiangyang's economic and social development mode. As a sub-center city in Hubei Province, Xiangyang has formed an economic system with the automobile industry as its mainstay, and is striving to build the "New Energy Vehicle Capital" to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the automobile industry and cultivate new economic growth points and international competitive advantages. The development of new energy vehicles is an excellent opportunity for China's auto industry and the international auto industry to take off at the same time.

The study and exchange activities not only provided valuable experience for the development of new energy technology transfer business in the East Center, but also played a positive role in further deepening scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation between the two places, and better served the economic construction.
