Overseas Cleantech Tour kicks off

On September 21st, the first stop of the cleantech sub-platform tour of the Eastern National Technology Transfer Center (ENTTC) was kicked off in the East Center Bay Valley Science Park. The tour was hosted by Mr. Xu Rong, founder and president of Yumo Consulting, and attended by Mr. Yan Mingfeng, CEO of the Eastern National Technology Transfer Center, Mr. He Yarmeng, Consul of Science and Technology at the Consulate General of Finland in Shanghai and Director of the National Agency for Technological Innovation of Finland.

Mr. Yan Mingfeng, CEO of the Eastern National Technology Transfer Center, introduced the operation of the Eastern National Technology Transfer Center. He said that the Eastern National Technology Transfer Center will focus on upstream and downstream aspects of technology transfer and integrate resources from all parties, which will promote the powerful combination of technology market and capital, and the Center will also join hands with the clean technology sub-platform of the Eastern National Technology Transfer Center - Yumo Consulting to create a global market. The Director of the Finnish National Agency for Technological Innovation, Mr. Hejamund, introduced Finland's national innovation system and said that he was looking forward to the 2nd International Cleantech Transfer and Investment Summit to be held in Shanghai on November 3, where Finland will also lead 10+ companies.

Overseas enterprises from five countries - Finland, the United States, Japan, South Korea and Austria - demonstrated advanced clean technologies in areas such as electrostatic air purification technology, high-efficiency composting technology, high-efficiency water treatment technology, soil remediation technology and industrial waste gas treatment solutions to Chinese enterprises attending the conference.

The tour attracted 19 organizations from China, including environmental protection enterprises such as Shuangliang Group, Longjing Environmental Protection, Kaixin Environmental Protection and China Energy Conservation, as well as financial institutions such as Xinna Investment and Ruiyang Technology. The participants had heated discussions with overseas enterprises on environmental technology issues of their concern, and in the one-on-one negotiation session, Chinese and foreign enterprises conducted face-to-face in-depth exchanges and discussions on areas of interest.

The East Center's cleantech sub-platform also showcased China's first cleantech transfer information interactive platform - iCleanConect, which has been read more than 15,000 times in three days and has more than 100 registered users. iCleanConect community platform integrates many cleantech technologies from overseas. The platform covers water treatment, air control, solid waste treatment, environmental monitoring, new energy and other fields. The platform can realize technology search and screening, collection and sharing, and private letter invitation, quickly realizing the grafting of overseas technology to the Chinese market.

In addition, an invitation to the 2nd International Cleantech Transfer and Investment & Financing Summit was extended to the participants, in the hope that cleantech entrepreneurs from different countries can meet with Chinese entrepreneurs, investors, governments, research institutes and technology transfer agencies to exchange ideas and find ways to transfer cleantech overseas.
