On May 12-13, 2020, the fifth China Innovation Challenge (Shanghai) Fosun Special Session held its first online supply and demand matchmaking session.

By May 11, Fosun received 48 solutions for the first batch of 13 requirements. It is understood that the Challenge's "unveiling and competing" approach to collecting solutions has really helped enterprises to find quality external innovation resources. Some solutions can be applied across different industrial sectors of Fosun, bringing more application scenarios to the project team. Some solutions can be selected from multiple requirements to enhance the possibility of landing on the ground.

After preliminary screening, 8 urgent needs of Fosun's Yuyuan Food and Beverage, Yuyuan Wenshang, Intelligent Manufacturing, Fosun Real Estate Development Group, and Health and Wellness Group were docked online for 2 days, with a total of 16 solutions docked. Due to the impact of the epidemic, it was difficult for Fosun's industrial demanders and solution providers located all over the country to connect with each other. Therefore, the organizer adopted online video conferencing to help the demand side to connect and evaluate the technical solutions in a batch and efficient way. Each solution was set for half an hour for introduction and question exchange.
On May 12, Yuyuan Food and Beverage and two technical solutions parties firstly docked on the demand of "anti-counterfeiting technology/industrial design of high-end liquor bottles and packaging" and searched for solutions with mature application cases. 2 technical parties introduced the RFID tag anti-counterfeiting technology affixed on the mouth of liquor bottles and the image with the patent of flexible ultra-thin screen. The anti-counterfeit display technology and the corresponding anti-counterfeit label products have been applied commercially and meet the basic needs of food and drink in Yuyuan. It is reported that the organizer has also contacted a famous liquor anti-counterfeiting technology provider and will be docked after the meeting.
Yuyuan Wenshang had a discussion with two technology providers about the upgrade needs of its "Warehouse Logistics and Retail Management System". One of the technology providers is a SaaS system company that provides a full set of AI and intelligent hardware systems and generates customized reports for financial settlement on time on demand; the other technology provider can provide companies with warehouse logistics solutions designed from scratch, as well as warehouse management solutions of different scales, and has extensive project experience. Yuyuan Wenshang expressed interest in both solutions and will meet with both companies for detailed communication.

FFT was approached by a well-known test group for their "Weld seam inspection needs for aluminium welding". FFT was impressed by the capability of the group to provide a comprehensive recording of the weld seam and the ability to tailor the inspection path and solution to the size and shape of the workpiece, and will develop and validate an inspection solution for the actual workpiece to be inspected.
Fosun Health & Wellness Group has conducted demand matching with four enterprises for "non-contact vital signs monitoring and healthy sleep management technology" and "geriatric disease management and pain management solutions. Vital signs monitoring and healthy sleep management technology" demand, respectively, brought soft electronic board smart mattress monitoring system, millimeter wave radar monitoring equipment and sensor cross-identification monitoring system of three different solutions; the fourth enterprise introduced its own research and development of biomedical signal wireless real-time monitoring and analysis system. Parkinson, stroke, epilepsy, and pain patients are tested and scored, and the company also introduces the stroke risk prediction technology under development.
On May 13, JWT and two technology providers met the demand for "welding technology between six series aluminum alloys", which required the complete avoidance of microcracks, porosity and other defects in the laser fusion welding process. The first company introduced its unique blue light welding technology to achieve spatter-free and defect-free welding; the other company introduced the solution of secondary welding to repair thermal cracks. Javelin Power will then send samples to the two organizations for testing to verify the feasibility of the welding technology.
Forte Land Development Group and four technology providers conducted the docking of the "video image based AI behavior analysis system" requirements. It is reported that nearly 10 solutions were collected in the early stage of the demand, and 4 solutions entered the docking meeting after the initial screening, after which Fudin Group said that it would dock two of them in depth to build an intelligent construction site project together.
This two-day online video matchmaking meeting is the first of Fosun Challenge's series of activities, and is also a brand new attempt of Fosun to connect with external science and technology resources in an open, efficient and batch-like way. 16 solutions were initially screened and received positive responses and feedback from the needy enterprises, which also laid a good foundation for in-depth matchmaking.
