Nordic Innovation Centre established at Eastern National Technology Transfer Centre

        On December 6, at exactly 15:20 Copenhagen time, the Nordic Innovation Center of the Eastern National Technology Transfer Center was officially inaugurated in Aalborg, Denmark. Thomas Kastrup-Larsen, Mayor of Aalborg, Tonny Thorup, Director of Business and Innovation of Aalborg, and Lu Jijun, Assistant President of Eastern National Technology Transfer Center, attended the opening ceremony.

At the meeting, Tonny Thorup, Director General of Business and Innovation of Aalborg, gave a brief introduction on the background of the establishment of the Nordic branch of the East National Technology Transfer Center. Thomas Kastrup-Larsen, Mayor of Aalborg, expressed his warm welcome to the arrival of NTME and his confidence and expectation that the establishment of the China-Europe Innovation Centre will give both sides the opportunity to find higher level cooperation and knowledge sharing opportunities.

"This is not only a new footprint on the development path of the East Center, but also a new step in the exchange and cooperation in the field of international science and technology innovation," said Yan Mingfeng, CEO of the National Technology Transfer East Center, expressing his congratulations and hopes on the opening of the Nordic Innovation Center through a short video. Lu Jijun, Assistant President of NCTT East, gave a brief introduction of the business development and global layout of NCTT East in the subsequent opening speech in conjunction with his one-and-a-half-day visit to Aalborg, expressed his appreciation for Denmark's superior science and technology resources and environment, and further elaborated on the development and cooperation vision of NCTT East based on the cooperation between the two.
One of the recipients of the 2018 Chinese Government Friendship Award, Jongen Klausen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Danfoss Group, was also present to speak about his more than twenty years of R&D and business experience between China and Denmark, demonstrating the strategic importance of the Chinese market for Danfoss' global business.
Henrik Hedegaard, Managing Director of Siemens Gomesa Aalborg and Anders Korsgaard, President of Blue World Technologies, also shared their experiences of their respective companies' development in China and what they have been doing or will be doing in the near future. Their history with Chinese partner Shanghai Electric and will license its 8 MW offshore wind turbine technology; President Anders Korsgaard said the company expects to set up a technical support company in Shanghai next year and hopes to find a Chinese partner through the platform of the National Technology Transfer Eastern Center.
The establishment of the Nordic Innovation Center connects its strong resource network with the science and technology innovation center being built in Shanghai, and is a mutually beneficial and win-win cross-regional cooperation in the field of science and innovation.
During the inaugural visit, the NTC East team also focused on the House of Energy Cluster, AAU Energy Transfer Centre, Novi Technology Park, BrainsBusiness, Blue.Word Technology, Genokey and other outstanding innovation centres and enterprises, which contributed to the development of the Nordic Innovation Centre. Laying the foundation for future development.
