On May 28th, the preparatory meeting for the establishment of the UNDP Shanghai Innovation Center for Sustainable Development was held at the East National Technology Transfer Center. Ltd. and Lin Wei, General Manager of Shanghai Suhewan Investment Holdings Co.

Based on the creation and linkage of the Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Center and the financial center, the meeting focused on the preparatory work of the United Nations Development Programme Shanghai Innovation Center for Sustainable Development. Mr. Chen Hongkai, Inspector of the Municipal Science and Technology Commission, expressed his hope that the project would focus on the construction of a sustainable finance and technology innovation center, build a research center based on global science and technology, further develop financial technology to support financial development, and promote the promotion and application of global technology research. Wang Dong, Director of the Sustainable Development Goals Project Office of the UNDP China Representative Office, also gave a detailed introduction and answers on matters related to the project application.

A project team will be set up to prepare a feasibility study on project design and institutional elements, and to promote the establishment of the UNDP Shanghai Innovation Centre for Sustainable Development.
