Synergy wins! Shanghai International Channel Synergy Window Building Symposium Successfully Held

On the afternoon of July 26th, a symposium on "Construction of International Channel Collaboration Window", initiated by Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission and Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Center, was held in the Eastern National Technology Transfer Center (hereinafter referred to as "Eastern Center"). The meeting attracted more than 20 organizations with international technology transfer channel layout and professional service capabilities in Shanghai, aiming to give full play to the advantages of the Eastern Center's platform, collaborate with various technology transfer organizations, and explore a new mechanism for sharing channel resources and establishing win-win channels.

At the meeting, Mr. Zou Shujun, Executive Vice President of the Eastern National Technology Transfer Center, introduced the background, proposal and revenue sharing of the establishment of the international channel collaboration window. Mr. Zou pointed out that the information collection of Shanghai's overseas channels is relatively fragmented, and a platform with strong resource gathering capabilities is needed to centralize the processing of information from various parties, from which projects with a certain level of maturity can be selected and assisted by professional service organizations to realize their implementation. Mr. Zou also emphasized that the core objective of the East Center has always been to establish a sound technology achievement transfer and transformation ecology, so specific project landing still needs to be completed by the service agencies.

During the exchange of opinions among the organizations, the representatives of each organization introduced in detail their business contents, channels, advantageous fields and successful cases in the past years, and also put forward a series of targeted opinions and suggestions on the current proposal of the international channel collaboration window. The representatives of the organizations welcomed the establishment of the collaborative mechanism, and hoped that the whole chain of technical achievement transfer and transformation from the collection of project information to the landing of large-scale projects could be realized through the cooperation of all of them.

At the symposium, Mr. Lu Jijun, Assistant President of the National Technology Transfer Eastern Center, also introduced the current progress of the China Innovation Challenge (Shanghai) and its model of matching needs with solutions to the participating organizations. Mr. Lu expressed his hope that the participating organizations would pay more attention to the Innovation Challenge and provide more valuable solutions through their overseas channels.

Finally, Liang Bing, Deputy Director of Innovation Service Department of Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, made a concluding speech to the symposium. Liang said that under the current background of Yangtze River Delta integration, the Shanghai Municipal Government and the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission attach more importance to the promotion of international technology transfer, and hoped that various organizations can actively participate in the construction of international channels and collaborative windows, and take advantage of Shanghai's advantages as an international metropolis to jointly promote the landing of overseas science and technology projects in Shanghai and even in the Yangtze River Delta region.

Under the guidance of the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission (SSTC), the Eastern Center has been preparing for this symposium on the construction of the international channel collaboration window in Shanghai, in order to solicit opinions from all parties concerned and to promote Shanghai's development in the field of international technology transfer before the formal implementation of the overseas channel collaboration mechanism. The "International Channel Collaboration Window Building Program" is planned to be implemented on a trial basis starting from August.
