On December 29, 2017, the 2nd China Innovation Challenge (Shanghai) Live Competition and Award Ceremony were held at the Southern Suburbs Hotel, Fengxian District. Through regional mobilization, the competition connects with small technology giants and outstanding innovation enterprises, and makes use of the power of the national university technology market and technology service institutions in Shanghai to tap the "crowdsourcing research needs" of enterprises through multiple channels to collect entries in five major technology fields, including electronics and information, biomedicine, advanced manufacturing and automation control, new materials, and resources and environment. Demand. Using the overseas platform channels, the expert resource advantages of universities and research institutes and the professional advantages of technology intermediary service agencies, the competition promotes the precise matching of enterprise technology needs from multiple angles. Since its launch in October, the competition has collected 206 technical needs of enterprises in the city, with the deep participation of 14 science and technology service agencies, organizing 38 online and offline technology matching activities, and recruiting 156 domestic challengers from universities, research institutes and enterprises, and 6 overseas challengers.
At the event, five enterprises, including new media data application development, intelligent fruit sorting and coding line, whole process quality traceability software platform for traditional Chinese medicine production, voc environmental protection processing technology, built-in garbage classification identification system, etc., interacted with Shanghai Normal University, Tongji University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Fudan University and other famous research institutes and technology intermediary service agencies in related fields to find the best solutions. More than 20 projects interacted with technical solution teams and industry experts, seeking more docking opportunities and expanding cooperation channels between the two sides, and 12 projects were successfully docked.
At the summary meeting, Zou Shujun, Executive Vice President of NTMT East, introduced the progress of the competition both in China and overseas in five aspects, including institutional innovation, policy support, multi-channel exploration of enterprises' needs for "crowdsourced research", matching of enterprises' technology needs from multiple angles, and the effectiveness of media publicity. At the same time, six overseas teams from the United States and the United Kingdom, including the MIT team, connected with six companies in need through online videos.

The construction of quality traceability software platform for the whole process of Chinese medicine production and the research and development of new high temperature resistant tungsten rhenium thermocouple by Shanghai Galaxy Instrument Factory are the common technical requirements of the industry, and the award was given to Shanghai Feitian Zhongzhi. Ltd., Shanghai Aoy Industrial Design Service Co. Ltd., Liu Kefu from Fudan University, Wang Dong from Shanghai University of Applied Sciences, Qian Bingfeng from Shanghai Institute of Electrical Engineering, and Shanghai Youfun Information Technology Co. At the same time, the National Technology Transfer Eastern Center, Fengxian District Science and Technology Commission, 114 Industry, University and Research Collaborative Innovation Platform Competition Organization Special Contribution Award. The companies that succeeded in docking in the competition will receive an innovation voucher subsidy of up to 300,000 RMB.
Liu Qin, deputy inspector of the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, said that the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission insists on the system first, platform support, network layout, and systematically promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. The starting point and landing point of all work is to stimulate the innovation vitality and motivation of science and technology enterprises and guide them to open innovation. The China Innovation Challenge is a good starting point, and in the future we will further normalize, precise and characterize the Challenge, consider it from the demand side and work from the supply side, further highlight Shanghai's characteristics, and create an ecology of co-construction, sharing and win-win.
