Delegation from Guangdong Provincial Government Visits Eastern National Technology Transfer Center

        On the morning of July 20, Zhu Xiaodan, Deputy Secretary of CPC Guangdong Committee and Governor of Guangdong Province, Yuan Baocheng, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province, Luo Jun, President of Sun Yat-sen University and other nearly 50 people, accompanied by Zhou Bo, Vice Mayor of Shanghai, visited the Eastern National Technology Transfer Center (hereinafter referred to as "ETC"), which is the first stop of the Guangdong government delegation's visit to Shanghai. Mr. Shou Ziqi, Director of Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, Mr. Xie Jiangang, Mayor of Yangpu District, Mr. Ding Huanhuan, Vice Mayor of Yangpu District and Mr. Xie Jihua, President of East China Center for Technology Transfer (ECCT) warmly greeted the guests.

        President Xie Jihua explained the background of the establishment of East Center, the overall planning of "one body with two wings" and the global network layout to the leaders of the delegation. At the same time, he described the future development path of East Center in four aspects: marketization, platformization, internationalization and specialization. President Xie Jihua emphasized the need to take enterprises as the main body to realize market-oriented operation mechanism; the positioning of the fourth-party platform to gather intermediaries, demand enterprises, investment institutions, research institutions, etc. to form an innovation eco-system; the international vision to dock with international innovation centers; and the professional requirements to do a good job in each "long board" of the technology transfer system. "The government of the Eastern Center is committed to the development of technology transfer. After listening to the report of President Xie Jihua, Governor Zhu highly praised the attempts and innovations made by the East Center in the field of technology transfer, and gave instructions to the provincial, municipal and county leaders of the delegation on the spot, hoping to strengthen the linkage and cooperation with the Shanghai area and the East Center in the future. Mr. Zhou Bo, Vice Mayor of the East Center, affirmed the leading role played by the East Center in the field of technology transfer, and indicated that the East Center will provide more policy support to this "platform of platforms" in the future.

        Led by President Xie Jihua, the delegation visited the G0 workbench on the first floor of the East Center and the technology trading area on the second floor of the event hall, where many productized achievements were displayed. Members of the delegation showed great interest in the technological achievements that have already been launched in the market and had a thorough communication with the staffs present.

        The delegation also visited Warburg Pincus Information Technology Co., Ltd, a prominent enterprise in the park and the East Center platform's technology verification platform in the field of audio and video. President Huaping introduced the development history of Huaping and the open innovation platform jointly built with East Center. Governor Zhu hoped that there would be more opportunities to communicate with open innovation enterprises like Warburg Pincus in the future.
