Relying on the Boston area's scientific research and industrial advantages in the fields of life sciences and biomedicine, semiconductors and integrated circuits, the Park provides a platform for the cultivation and exchange of innovative talents between China and the United States, joint innovation in cutting-edge science and technology, R&D and exchange of innovative technologies, transformation and trading of innovative achievements, international expansion and cooperative development of innovative enterprises, cultivation and incubation of innovative intelligence and emerging industries, innovative capital services and market matching. Active efforts are underway. In June this year, the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission will also sign a formal cooperation framework agreement with the Massachusetts Economic and Trade Commission to further expand scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation between Massachusetts and Shanghai, as well as the Yangtze River Delta.

Mr. Jingsong Pu, General Manager of ITRI, shared his views on the overseas cooperation of ITRI in Kunshan. At present, among the "Belt and Road" countries, ITRI Kunshan has established cooperation with Ukraine, Belarus and Russia to jointly carry out enterprise technology research and development. Kunshan's key development areas include optoelectronics, integrated circuits, biomedicine and intelligent manufacturing, in which the United States is a global leader. At the same time, he also said that the Eastern Center has been working in the United States for many years, and has a deep understanding of and good cooperation with Boston's local science and technology resources and various channel networks. Therefore, Kunshan very much hopes to take advantage of the Eastern Center's current network layout in the United States to set up its overseas science and technology center in Boston, and become a high-quality overseas platform for Kunshan to showcase regional science and technology achievements, exchange information and introduce quality projects in the United States.

Mr. Zou Shujun, Executive Vice President of the East Center, explained the "1234 Positioning" of the East Center's overseas network strategy. Against the backdrop of the Yangtze River Delta integration strategy, the Eastern Center has been actively promoting communication with the Yangtze River Delta region by relying on the four-level system of the Eastern Center's overseas layout to open up communication channels between overseas network channels and the Yangtze River Delta region. In addition, the Eastern Center has many good cooperation channels in other countries, especially in the Netherlands, where it has signed framework strategic cooperation agreements with the University of Maastricht and Brightlands. These overseas channels can also be used by other cities in the Yangtze River Delta region to jointly promote science, technology and innovation exchange between the region and overseas.

In the process of integration of the Yangtze River Delta region led by Shanghai, the Eastern Center has taken the lead in connecting the Yangtze River Delta region with overseas science and technology innovation resources, actively opening up Shanghai's high-quality overseas science and technology innovation resources to other cities in the Yangtze River Delta region and promoting the synergistic development of regional science and technology innovation. The Eastern Center's international network covers five continents and 35 countries, and it has established 18 branch centers in China, 9 of which are located in the Yangtze River Delta region. Kunshan ITRI and the Eastern Center are in the process of formulating a concrete plan for this cooperation.
