The 4th China Innovation Challenge (Shanghai) and the 2nd Yangtze River Delta International Innovation Challenge - Huangpu District Time-honored Brand Innovation and Development Competition were successfully held.

On the afternoon of December 10, the 4th China Innovation Challenge (Shanghai) and the 2nd Yangtze River Delta International Innovation Challenge Huangpu District Time-honored Brand Innovation and Development Special Session was successfully held. The competition was guided by Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, organized by Huangpu District Science and Technology Commission, Huangpu District Bureau of Social Welfare, Huangpu District Commission of Commerce, Huangpu District State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, and undertaken by Shanghai Microelectronics Design Co.

The event started with a video review of the Huangpu District Time-honored Products Competition, which has achieved remarkable results since its launch in August. The tournament reached all the old-established enterprises in the region, collected nearly 40 innovation demands from more than 20 old-established enterprises, leveraged 35 million yuan of innovation intention investment from old-established enterprises, visited nearly 100 teams, enterprises, universities and institutes in the Yangtze River Delta region, and collected nearly 60 challenger solutions.

Chen Hongkai, Director of Innovation Service Division of Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, pointed out in his speech that the Huangpu District Time-honored Brand Race was reported to the Torch Center of Ministry of Science and Technology as a special event, and the recommended innovation case of Pear Paste Dew was also displayed in the Shanghai Live Race held recently.

The first session of the competition has initially achieved three major results: first, technology has empowered the innovation of long-established brands, and the technology needs put forward by the leading home textile long-established brand and the long-established "Xinguang" of the Yimin Group have been precisely matched with the solutions; second, the new "hybrid" has been created. Cross-border platform, Yuyuan stock's old temple gold, Yayi gold shop, pear paste dew and other long-established brands appeared in spring and summer 2020 Shanghai fashion week, harvesting global attention; Third, to help the long-established brands spread, the special competition through the media day activities, spread the effectiveness of the competition and long-established innovation, and gained a number of media reports. Through the communication with the old-established brands and the recommendation of the organizing committee, there were 3 groups of demand docking cases shown on the site.

In addition to the display of enterprise solutions, industry experts and university teachers were also invited to discuss the innovation topic of the old-established brands. At the end of the event, after the feedback and evaluation meeting organized by the organizing committee, the committee finally selected 6 winning proposals, which won the first, second and third prizes respectively. At the same time, the leaders and guests also witnessed the glorious moment when the four groups of time-honored brands established cooperation with the participating enterprises.

Although the Huangpu District Time-honored Brand Innovation Competition has come to an end, the process of dialogue and joint discussion on innovation will not stop.
