"The East Center wants to be a boon, constantly to discover and explore the valuable 'thousands of horses' among the market, including demand, technology golden cows and technology transfer talents." Yan Mingfeng, CEO of the East China Center for Technology Transfer (ECCT), said at a TED talk on the topic of "Implementing the Case for Transformation of Results and Promoting Innovation-Driven Development".

As Yan Mingfeng says, "Technology transfer is bound to be a very complex subject, and it gives us a few things to think about, such as how to provide more efficient supply. For example, how to provide more efficient supply? How can a public service platform be formed? How to develop a sustainable self-improvement mechanism? How do you go about creating a new eco-system for technology transfer without the circulation of all the elements of borders?" In a way, these issues seem to have a sense of déjà vu in major university institutes, research institutions, business entities, and so on.

At a time when Shanghai is striving to build a science and technology innovation center with global influence, how can we get rid of the fate of display cases in the laboratory so that the research results can really go to the market and face the enterprises? Transformation of results is, in effect, a password that unlocks a series of problems.

In Yan Mingfeng's view, the East National Technology Transfer Center is working hard to build a "fourth-party platform for technology transfer", following the footsteps of the whole country and under the trilogy of the transformation of Shanghai's scientific and technological achievements. Strive to transfer international advanced technology to the country and to the Shanghai region; strive to take Shanghai's high-quality achievements out of the country through the East Center's platform, radiating out along the Belt and Road to form the entire technology output."
