President's Roundtable Forum on Transformation of Science and Technology Achievements in Universities Successfully Held to Promote High Quality Development Driven by Science and Technology Innovation

On October 28th, the President's Roundtable Forum on the Transformation of Science and Technology Achievements in Colleges and Universities, organized by the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission and Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, undertaken by the Shanghai Institute of Technology Transfer and the National Eastern Center for Technology Transfer, and co-organized by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tongji University and Shanghai Institute of Technology, was held at the Global Technology Transfer Conference at the Shanghai Exhibition Center.

Director General Lei Chaozhi of the Department of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Education attended the forum and delivered the keynote speech.

More than 80 participants from more than 20 well-known domestic universities, including Fudan University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Beijing Jiaotong University, Southwest Jiaotong University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Shanghai Institute of Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology, Tianjin University, East China Normal University, Southeast University, Shanghai University, Tongji University, Peking University, etc., and 12 secretaries and principals attended the forum. The forum was presided over by Li Yongzhi, deputy director of Shanghai Education Commission.

In his keynote speech, Wu Dan, Vice President of Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU), presented the following topics: "The Premier's Disquiet," "National Policies to Promote Transformation," "Joint Letter from Experts," and "The National Policy to Promote Transformation. The "Premier's visit to the school and exchange with experts" in several parts of a detailed analysis of the "academician eight questions" of the whole process, and introduced the Shanghai Jiao Tong University in the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in the exploration of practice.

President Wang Jiaqiong of Beijing Jiaotong University focused on the theme of "Creating and Operating High-value Patents to Support the Development of Scientific and Technological Innovation", from "Promoting the Creation of High-quality Intellectual Property Results" and "Building a High-level Intellectual Property Management System". "The school's specific measures were introduced in detail in the three dimensions of "formation of highly beneficial intellectual property transformation and application".

Southwest Jiaotong University's Wang Shunhong, secretary of the report, said that the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in China's universities is difficult, difficult in the nationalization of scientific and technological achievements, specifically in the "researchers do not dare to turn", "management cadres at all levels do not want to turn," The three aspects of "no mature results can be transferred", "mixed ownership of job science and technology results" only solves the problem of "dare not transfer" and half". Guo Bin, Vice President of Harbin Institute of Technology, made a keynote report entitled "Implementing Empowerment + Quality Improvement Dual-Wheel Drive to Promote the Transformation of Scientific and Technological Achievements in Universities". He shared his practical experience in building professional teams, broadening transformation channels, innovating transformation modes and improving transformation quality.

Mr. Yuan Yingjin, Vice President of Tianjin University, made a keynote speech on the topic of "Simplifying Procedures, Stimulating Vitality and Promoting the Transformation of Scientific and Technological Achievements". The work plans of "simplifying procedures and implementing one-stop services" and "unblocking pain points and stimulating vitality" were of great significance for practical reference.

President Liu Gonghui of Beijing University of Technology shared a keynote speech on "Building a Multi-Level and All-round Technology Transfer System to Promote Innovation and Development of Society", highlighting the importance of cultivating technology transfer professionals and introducing the university's plan to add a technology transfer research direction to the existing postgraduate training programs and to establish a technology transfer center. Practical experience as a graduate internship site.

In the round-table discussion, Zhang Renhe, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and vice president of Fudan University, Zhou Aoying, vice president of East China Normal University, Ding Hui, vice president of Southeast University, Wu Minghong, vice president of Shanghai University and other leaders and experts have spoken one after another. Participating experts believe that in the construction of science and technology power, patents should fly with quality and quantity.
