Fight the epidemic, we're on the move!

2020 This sudden epidemic has not only touched the hearts of the Chinese people, but also received the concern and support of many governments, overseas enterprises, overseas institutions, international organizations and friends from all walks of life.

As a fourth-party technology transfer platform dedicated to exploring the cross-border technology transfer model and the layout of global science and technology innovation channels, the National Center for Technology Transfer East has also worked with international partners on the platform to provide assistance after the outbreak of the epidemic. We and our partners in the overseas centers actively collected various kinds of urgently needed materials such as medical protective suits, goggles, medical masks, medical gloves, etc. and quickly shipped them to Hubei, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Fujian, Hebei and other places to support the local epidemic prevention and control.

United States Branch Center

Westar, the local partner organization of the American Branch Center, assisted in the local procurement of medical protective equipment, including protective clothing, N95 masks, protective eyewear and gloves in the United States, and sent them to China. At present, these supplies have been shipped to Wuhan in two batches. In addition, the Boston Alumni Association of Fudan University, the local partner organization of the Center, donated 5 boxes of medical masks to Fudan University, which have also arrived successfully.

Canadian Branch Center

 After understanding the urgent situation of medical supplies in China, the Canadian branch purchased more than 1,500 units of temperature measuring equipment from overseas and donated them to local governments and organizations in China. In addition, the center also specially introduced overseas advanced technology and matching components to support the supply of domestic medical supplies and the development of medical devices for prevention and control.

The center also assisted local partner organizations, including the Canadian Shanghai Association and the Canadian Federation of Chinese Associations, in organizing financial and material donations. The first batch of supplies, including 400 N95 masks and 2,000 disposable masks, were shipped to Shanghai First People's Hospital and Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center in the afternoon of February 5.

In addition, in collaboration with Hebei, Fujian and other institutions in Canada, the Canadian Center also donated medical materials to support the prevention and control of the epidemic in China, including medical protective clothing worth 150,000 yuan to Hebei, 120,000 medical grade powder-free nitrile gloves to Fujian, as well as 40,000 disposable masks and N95 masks worth 20,000 yuan to other institutions in China.

The East Center's Israeli incubator in Taiku Tel Aviv actively organized and participated in a team of temporary volunteers and launched the "Stand with Wuhan" initiative in the local Israeli media i24news. The volunteer team raised funds locally and received millions of dollars in donations, all of which were used to purchase medical supplies to be delivered directly to frontline staff in hospitals and communities in China. To date, the volunteer team has shipped some 310,000 masks, 8,000 protective suits and 400 pairs of goggles from Israel to China.

UK Branch Center

After learning about the outbreak of the disease in China, Centi Group, the UK branch, together with its partners, purchased 400 N95 masks and 157 sets of DuPont protective suits from overseas and shipped them to Wuhan. In addition, Centi Group's UK partner organization, the UK-China Trade Association, is actively collecting donations from its members. 24 members have already donated, including 50.6 million RMB from Reckitt Benckiser and 8 million RMB from Jaguar Land Rover.

Netherlands Branch Center (European Headquarter)

The Dutch center (European headquarters) together with the German enterprise Lihui Gmbh donated 500 sets of medical protective clothing to Huangmei County People's Hospital in Huanggang City, Hubei Province, supplies are on the way. Its cooperation institutions also actively carried out all kinds of donations: Brightlands China Center and the Netherlands Maastricht University Chinese Alumni Association in conjunction with the German Tongji Alumni Association, donated a total of 2000 sets of protective clothing, medical surgical masks 50,000, has been sent to Wuhan Huazhong University of Science and Technology Affiliated Tongji Hospital. The government of Limburg, through the Sichuan Charity Federation, donated 340 pieces of 3M medical masks to the West China Hospital in Sichuan.

In order to assist Aalborg enterprises to donate, the Danish Branch invited Mr. Thomas Kastrup-Larsen, the Mayor of Aalborg, to write to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China to help Aalborg A Top donate 5,000 goggles for medical supplies to China.

As of February 14, the National Technology Transfer Eastern Center had collected 15 pieces of information on overseas aid materials from various partners on the platform, including the United States, Canada, Israel, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark and other seven countries, among which six pieces of professional analysis reports and technology R&D transfer results for the epidemic.

Until the final victory in the fight against the epidemic is achieved, all the partners of the Eastern National Technology Transfer Center at home and abroad will continue to work together to help Wuhan and the country!
