"The Mystery Behind Stanford's Technology Transfer Model" Event Successfully Concludes

On the afternoon of June 20, 2016, the event "The Mystery Behind the Stanford Technology Transfer Model" co-hosted by the National Technology Transfer Eastern Center, the National University Technology Market in Shanghai, the School of Economics at Fudan University, the Cross-Border Angel Platform, and the AlumX Global School Hacker Club was held in the Dajin Auditorium of the School of Economics at Fudan University. Nearly 70 people from universities, enterprises, investment institutions and other different fields attended the event.

Firstly, Zhang Huijun, Director of Fudan University's Office of Achievement and Intellectual Property, delivered a speech for the conference, followed by Lu Jijun, General Manager of Shanghai National University Technology Market, who briefly introduced the overview of National Technology Transfer Eastern Center and Shanghai National University Technology Market. After that, the special guest speaker, Ms. Mona Wan, Associate Director of OTL from Stanford University, shared the current status of technology transfer at Stanford University, the model of technology transfer, the profit distribution of technology transfer, the ecosystem of Stanford University, and the difficulties and experiences of Stanford in the process of technology transfer, etc. Finally, the attendees entered into a roundtable discussion. At the end of the roundtable discussion, attendees asked Ms. Mona Wan and Mr. Lu Jijun questions about technology transfer at Stanford University and technology transfer in Chinese universities, and both guests gave detailed answers.

Through this event, we had an in-depth understanding of the technology transfer of Stanford University and the current situation of technology transfer from universities and the difficulties in technology transfer, and at the same time, through the active participation of the participants and the enthusiastic questions, it shows that more and more people from different fields have begun to pay attention to technology transfer.
