Open Innovation Forum
Time:2016.4.21 China (Shanghai) International Fair for Import and Export of Technology 13:30-16:00
Venue: Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center - Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission - Eastern National Technology Transfer Center - Forum Area
Summary of the agenda:
1. The new paradigm of innovation: open innovation
Under the new environment, the speed of scientific and technological development is accelerating, the technology life cycle is shortening, new disciplines and new technologies are emerging continuously, many interdisciplinary science and technology fields are emerging, and the scientific and technological system is becoming increasingly complex. These new characteristics lead to the increase of cost and uncertainty of technology innovation, making it impossible for enterprises to complete the whole innovation chain activities by their own strength, and they need to attract and leverage external innovation resources to achieve their business and technology objectives. Then how to change from the internal innovation mode of "build, develop and own" to the open innovation mode with the help of "external brain"?
Guest: Ms. Yanyan Li, President Assistant of National Technology Transfer East Center, General Manager of Upper Bay Valley Innovation Center
2. Open innovation perspective: the innovation practices of multinational corporations and the innovation challenges of domestic science and technology leading enterprises
The practice of open innovation in the field of China's technology giants has just begun, and there is still a big gap between China and mainstream companies in Europe and the United States. Open innovation by large companies is not only the biggest shortcoming of China's science and technology innovation ecosystem, but also the most critical factor in achieving a closed loop at the level of capital and innovation. What attempts have large companies made on the road of open innovation? What kind of results have they achieved and what kind of obstacles have they encountered? Compared with the open innovation practices of international large enterprises, what kind of thinking and changes have domestic industry leaders made? What kind of breakthroughs will they make?
Guests: Dr. Qun Deng, General Manager, Shell Innovation Workshop (Shanghai), Dr. Hongqiang Wang, Director, Open Innovation, Unilever Research and Development Centre (China), Dr. Xiaofang Hu, Deputy Director, Innovation Business Development, Tisco Holdings Group
3. Open innovation perspective: exploring innovation in service organizations
As the entry point for providing open innovation services, service organizations must respond to the rapid development of technology and the ever-changing needs of enterprises, break the traditional service model, develop new products and innovative services, and deliver more valuable high-end services to enterprises. Chinese technology enterprises have just started to practice in the field of open innovation, so how can service providers seize the opportunity to open up innovative paths to meet the needs of enterprises? How to explore new methods, tools and models in addition to traditional services?
Guests: Dr. Winston Zhang, Co-founder of TiP Lab, Ms. Anna Yu, Founder and CEO of Rongzhi IP
The forum intends to invite the following guests: senior executives of large domestic enterprises, entrepreneurs of above-scale growth companies, heads of scientific research institutions, as well as the community members who have a strong demand for open innovation of enterprises.
