In order to further promote Yangpu's efforts to create a national innovation pilot city and plan the development of the innovation system, on September 17, 2015, Wang Yumei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Shanghai Academy of Sciences, and Wang Zhijun, Director of the Yangpu District Science and Technology Commission, led a delegation from the Yangpu District National Innovation Pilot City Construction Task Force to visit the National Technology Transfer Eastern Center, and Yan Mingfeng, Executive President of the National Technology Transfer Eastern Center The guests were warmly received.

The research group first visited the Eastern National Technology Transfer Center Bay Valley Science and Technology Park and visited the exhibition hall of the Park, fully affirming the achievements of the Park in creating a scientific and technological environment, attracting high-end talents and promoting innovation and development. Mr. Yan also shared the successful experience of the East Center in intellectual property management, entrepreneurial services in the park and technology transfer mode, which was well-received. The two sides had a heated discussion on the transformation of scientific and technological achievements of universities, the trading system of scientific and technological achievements market and international and domestic technological cooperation.

Building a national innovation pilot city is a strategic, systematic and long-term project, which must be provided with strong political and organizational support. The Eastern National Technology Transfer Center has always been a pioneer in innovation, an importer of international resources and a builder of functional platforms, focusing on strategic emerging industries and traditional industries, transforming and upgrading fields, and building a hub of global science and technology innovation system. At this stage, the East Center has become an important grip for Yangpu District to implement the strategy of technology transfer and gathering highland construction, and is also an inseparable part of the construction of the Innovation City. Mr. Yan said that today we have only taken the first step of technology transfer, in the future, we need to further study the connection between technology market and capital market, innovation of technology transfer mode and many other issues, and take the second and third steps to make the society more vibrant with technology transfer.
