Kazakhstan Branch Center

The Kazakhstan Branch Center was established in May 2018, and with the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the two parties with DyussembayevMedet, Director of the Technology Transfer Center of JSC (NATD JSC), Kazakhstan's national technology development agency, and Zou Shujun, then Executive Vice President of the Eastern Center, as the representatives of both parties, the Eastern Center officially launched the cooperation in science, technology and innovation between China and Kazakhstan. Currently, the partner of the East Center Kazakhstan is QazTech Ventures JSC, which is located in Astana, the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The holding company, whose sole shareholder is the Government of Kazakhstan, aims to promote the technological development of startups through tools such as venture financing, business incubation, technology consulting, and to increase the transparency and efficiency of its work by promoting economic development and diversification, attracting investment (including state investment), developing clusters, and upgrading the system of cooperative management of its subsidiaries and affiliates (transformed into a trust).

At present, the local partners of the center include 12 governments and enterprises, 21 incubators and accelerators, 3 industrial parks, 7 universities and research institutions, mainly by exploring local technology needs, matching and connecting with effective domestic solutions to promote the development of Kazakhstan's information network, agriculture and food safety and other fields.
