The India Branch Centre was established in July 2018 by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Eastern Centre and India-China Trade Centre ICTC to formally carry out technology and innovation exchanges and cooperation in India.ICTC is a non-government, non-profit membership-based organization dedicated to promoting trade and commerce between India and China. Since its inception, the India Branch Centre has been strengthening India-China economic cooperation through policy research advice, business strategy guidance and continuous exchange of business delegations, participation in trade fairs, organization of conferences, seminars, lectures and workshops.

Located in New Delhi, the capital of the Republic of India, it is the national political, economic and cultural center of India and the largest business center in North India, with major industries such as IT, telecom, hospitality services, finance, media and tourism. It has successfully facilitated trade and technical cooperation between Chinese and Indian enterprises, and provided services to thousands more companies from India and China directly or indirectly through partner organizations/chambers of commerce in the country.
