Shanghai Innovation Center Boston & Shanghai Zhangjiang Boston Enterprise Park was officially launched in February 2016 in Boston's Congress Hall, with a plaque unveiled by Minister of Science and Technology Wang Zhigang and Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker.In 2017, the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission (SSTC) placed it under the management of the SSTC's Global Technology and Innovation Network, awarding the " Shanghai Innovation Center Boston". The local partner of Shanghai Innovation Center Boston is the U.S.-China Cooperation and Development Commission, in close cooperation with the Higher Education Commission of New England (six northeastern states), the American Enterprise Alliance and other institutions, jointly built a high-tech innovation industrial park. Focusing on life sciences and biomedicine, healthcare, artificial intelligence, network information and other fields, the park will build a Sino-American innovation cluster comprising R&D, incubation, services, transactions, finance, industry and talents, and promote exchanges and cooperation in education, technology and business between the U.S. and China.
